The Deafening Tick Tock

That large window pane,
next to my desk,
schemes, with the day.

Distractedly I focus
on the deafening tick tock
torturing my imagination.

From a long line
of window looker outers –
I can’t help myself.

Each flake of snow falls with
its own benevolence, but it’s
the kind of snow that doesn’t stick.

  1. We went from 60* one day to marble size snow the next…WTH! My tulips are making an appearance…curled over trying to go back into the ground.
Love it as always, L J

    • I know!! Unseasonably cold – my heart needs a spring poem! Your tulips trying to get back in to the ground makes me laugh – could be inspiration for my next poem!!
