Emotionally Anaemic Woman

All I could never say was:
‘I am afraid of you.’
Year after year, you
tormented me.
I provoked your
hatred – it
exhausted me.
Morally, you had nothing
that could stop you
from hurting me –
my personal sociopath.

Emotionally anaemic,
I never evolved
in to a woman.

Trapped,
in a place
that you guaranteed:
no one would ever love me,
no one would ever pick me,
no one would ever trust me,
you pushed me, until
I was so alone
I wanted to kill me.
Then you pretended
you wanted to save me
I wanted to believe you – still do.

But you, were never anything
more than my personal fan club
for failure.
