Inheritance betrayed by poverty;
Children abandoned,
To plant seeds for a new way.

Memories unspoken;
Photographs a token,
Price of a life more penchant.

Tidiness keeps the house;
From reminding,
Appearances protected.

Children are growing;
No love from the home,
Alone with their stains.

Trials, tribulations and joys;
Remain unknown.
